About Us
The Beginning
Kissinger Electric was started in 1978 by Jim "Tarz" Kissinger and his wife Julie out of their home in Columbia City, IN. Jim specialized in residential and farming operations for many of the local farmers. When Jim's son, Jon, entered the business a new era was created in the commercial side for the Kissinger Electric, Inc.
Today
Today, the business is owned by Jon Kissinger and his wife Deanna. Although Jon has always worked and help his dad in the business since he was 14 years old, he has been co-owner and a crucial part of the business since he became co-owner with his parents in 1995. When the business started it was a two man operation, and now consists of 50 electricians with 3 office personnel.
The Future
Kissinger Electric, Inc. is located at 1546 South Progress Court in Park 30, Columbia City. Jon states, "We are excited about the next phase that we are entering into with the expansion of Kissinger Electric. My dad, Jim Kissinger, started the business in 1978 out of our home and I have enjoyed watching us grow and continue to grow serving this community and surrounding area."
